Hawzah News Agency- In a message published on his official Facebook page, Sheikh Zakzaky described the 1979 Revolution, led by Imam Khomeini, as a historic turning point that restored dignity to the Muslim Ummah and inspired freedom-seekers and advocates of justice worldwide.
“We extend our congratulations on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran to the entire Islamic Ummah and to all free and justice-loving people around the world,” the statement read. “Today marks forty-seven years since this great triumph was achieved.”
Zakzaky characterized the Revolution as a source of enduring honor for the Muslim world and a model of resistance against oppression and domination, saying its message continues to resonate far beyond Iran’s borders.
He prayed for the continued strength and preservation of the Islamic Republic, asking God to protect the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as well as scholars and military commanders serving in Iran’s armed forces, including its air, naval, and ground units.
The Nigerian cleric further called on God to expand the message of the Islamic Revolution to all corners of the world and prayed for the hastening of the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), a central figure in Islamic eschatology.
Sheikh Zakzaky, whose movement has long expressed support for the Islamic Republic, has repeatedly described Iran’s Revolution as a transformative event that reshaped political thought in the Muslim world and offered an alternative model rooted in religious governance and resistance to global arrogance.
Commemorations marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution were held across Iran and in various countries, with supporters describing the event as a reaffirmation of the Revolution’s enduring influence nearly five decades after its victory.
